President of the Midland Junior Premier Football League and football legend Cyrille Regis MBE joined League Chairman, Andy Barnett, and West Bromwich Building Society Head of Marketing Sarah Hemmings, in putting pen to paper to secure a 12-month sponsorship deal with the Society.
Andy Barnett,
“We thank West Bromwich Building Society for supporting the MJPFL’s vision for the successful development of young local football players. Over the last four years the Midland Junior Premier Football League has firmly established itself as the best football development league in the country and in doing so have helping countless numbers of local youngsters fulfil their footballing ambitions. Speaking on behalf of the MJPFL I would like to say that we are delighted to be associated with West Bromwich Building Society and we look forward to working with them for the good of the footballing community for many years to come”
Established in 2004, the Midland Junior Premier Football League (MJPFL) has
grown from 360 to 2,500 quality youngsters aged 11-18 years of age. The MJPFL is unique in that it is designed to nurture young football talent offering these youngsters the opportunity to be noticed by the highest football level possible.
Cyrille Regis MBE, President, Midland Junior Premier Football League, said: “Football is a career many children dream of - just as I did. Unlike many jobs, the road to becoming a professional footballer starts at an early age. For whatever reason, it is so easy for quality youngsters to get overlooked by Football League Clubs. Thanks to the MJPFL our coaching schemes and quality league and cup competitions we give youngsters the training and the opportunity to prove that they too have what it takes to become a professional footballer. This new sponsorship deal with the West Brom will hopefully help many youngsters to see their dreams realised.”
Sarah Hemmings, West Bromwich Building Society, said: The Midland Junior Premier Football League has proved an outstanding success in helping local youngsters fulfil their footballing ambitions. We are delighted to be associated with everything this league is trying to achieve on behalf of these youngsters and I wish all the players every success for the forthcoming season.”
